A stroll back in timeA stroll back in time

Newcastle East End FC are embarking upon a Heritage Lottery Funded project for 2013.

The project is a celebration of our football clubs history and the relationship between our local area and the River Tyne.

We will be producing a collection of memorabilia and information resources, documenting the areas rich football heritage and shipbuilding roots.

We will highlight some of the findings as we go along with this website and the project will climax in a community exhibition and dvd presentation, preserving our findings for years to come.

We have a Northumbria University student currently doing archive research on our behalf, if you wish to participate in this exciting project and perhaps interview local residents who lived, worked and played in the area or even past and present players and coaches please get in touch.

We are also looking for any residents or family members who may have worked for Swan Hunters / John Wigham Richardson ship builders to help us by providing photos and stories of their time in Low Walker, the Neptune Yard and also Stotts Road Farm and Swan Hunters Recreation Ground.
